EDIT: SO, true to fashion, I wound up doing something and found out later that there was no reason for me to do the thing and I just look like a dumbass as a result (DA isn't actually doing the things mentioned in the post). Welp, oh well~ I still stand by the other sentiments I had for deleting everything though. It's just time for me to move on.
Gonna leave the journal entry up though. My last hurrah may as well be one that paints me as the giant idiot that I am.

Hey everyone, wanted to give you all one last update before this account goes silent.

It had come to my attention that because of some incredibly shady policies (source blog is pretty NSFW, as a warning) DA adopted in regards to hosting and using your art, I've since removed everything I've uploaded because fuck DA and what they're doing to other artists.
For those that don't or can't click on the link, the long and short of it is, by agreeing to DA's terms of use when you upload your artwork on this site, you're agreeing that they have complete ownership over your work and can use it in any manner they see fit, to include altering, editing, and selling it to third parties for profit. Third parties like Hot Topic, if anyone is saavy about how Hot Topic reportedly steals subject matter to put on their shirts (spoilers: DA is selling it to them. The artwork that other people created. Sold. Without artist consent.). Even the name you use for your account is technically their property to use as they see fit. The whole deal is completely fucked.

I'm not gonna lie, none of my work was remotely good enough to wind up sold and on a shirt. I nuked everything purely out of principle. Well, and partly because I almost never pick up the pen anymore. It's not a secret that any and all artwork from me has slowed to a halt. I honestly just don't have it in me anymore. At least not right now. I'm not sure if I will again.
I figure in the end, it's probably better this way. A lot of my early works were pretty cringey and hardly worth keeping, but I was using this account as a means of archiving all my work. And I won't lie when I said deleting everything was a bit painful, considering I had over eight years worth of work uploaded to this account. Lot of memories kept in everything. But, if nothing else, this is a fresh start, or a chance to start over.

I wanted to keep the account alive a bit longer though, to at least give the people who were kind enough to follow me and my work the courtesy of knowing why I did what I did. I owe everyone that much for the lack of new work. But also to act as a kind of warning of just how shady and scummy DA has gotten. If I find a new site to upload things to, I'll post it here.

200 years later, a new journal entry~
Finally back home in CO as of a couple days ago. It's a far cry from the insufferable heat of the Mojave Desert, but I'm not complaining. So I'm actually working on stuff to submit, art wise. I'm just not sure how soon it'll be, as I the internet isn't readily accessible where I am right now. But soon-ish, hopefully.

Seven months later~

I'm still here. I've just been active on my tumblr a whole lot more. I'll start posting some of the art I've dumped there as time goes on.
